COURSE DESCRIPTION
Yellow Books provide a framework for conducting high-quality audits with competence, integrity, objectivity, and independence. Used by auditors of government entities, entities that receive government awards, and audit organizations performing Yellow Book audits.
The standards that are created by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) are called the Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS). The Yellow Book is annually published by GAO of the Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards.
