If you are an Enrolled Agent (EA), California Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP) or a Tax Preparer licensed with the IRS, you need to provide us your “PTIN” so we can report your hours.

IRS requires hours to be reported every quarter for the first 3 quarters and every ten days in the Fourth Quarter. However, we report your hours monthly for the first 3 quarters of the year. During the fourth quarter we report hours every Monday.

Most other browsers (i.e., Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla, Firefox, and others) do not support MP4 video, H5P, or Adobe Connect format natively. You will need to add additional plugins on your devises to make it work. It is easier to just use an updated browser (Google Chrome) that supports the newest and latest versions of technology as it comes out. Only tax courses qualify for IRS credit hours with the exception of the Circular 230 Ethics, and a few courses dealing with cyber security and identity theft. You can ensure the course qualifies by looking for our IRS Course ID Code EWTFM, you can find our ID# on the Course Summary/Description of every course available.

The field of study is listed as Federal Tax Law or Federal Tax Update on the Course Summary/Description to help you complete the right amount of hours in the right subject matter. Additionally, our IRS Course ID has EWTFM-T (T- for Law) or EWTFM-U (U- for Update).

You can only take a course once in a calendar year, some state boards will only allow you to take a course once in a renewal period. Our courses are updated annually, and though the course name may be the same (author Titles) the course has been updated.

Absolutely!! However, viewing webinars on iPhone/iPad may be problematic. Those devices are constantly auto refreshing which disrupts the server connection which may cause you difficulty in getting your certificate. Delaware, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming all require a state specific Ethics Course. All other states accept a general ethics course.

The IRS requires 2 hours of ethics covering Circular 230. We have three courses that will meet this requirement. They are: Circular 230, Enrolled Agent ethical standards: Practice and procedures, and Tax return Preparer Ethical issues. Each of these courses are two (2) credits. We also have Ethics, Tax Practice and the Cannabis Industry. This is a one (1) hour course.

NO, the IRS deems this course to be below your educational level and therefore you cannot receive credit. This course is only qualified for Tax Preparers.
